LE PALAZZO ESSAOUIRA
BOUTIQUE HOTEL & ROOFTOP
Le Palazzo Essaouira
Boutique Hôtel & Rooftop
This Boutique Hotel & Rooftop is a place steeped in history.
Today, it has been given a new lease on life, combining authenticity with more contemporary Moroccan craftsmanship.
This former 19th-century patrician house, once used as a storehouse by the Sultan of the city, who traded with the world from the port of Essaouira, was transformed into a charming hotel in the mid-20th century under the name Palazzo Desdemona, a tribute to Orson Welles, who stayed here during the filming of his famous movie Othello.
In the upper floors, which once housed the master's apartments, twelve bright rooms and suites with exceptional ceiling heights are arranged around two magnificent patios with lush vegetation.
Its Rooftop, with its spectacular view of the ocean, the ramparts, and the rooftops of the medina, has become a must-visit spot in Essaouira for enjoying the view, having lunch, or sipping a cocktail while admiring the sunset.
